Healthy Snack: Tandoori Masala Chickpeas

I am still surfing on the wave of New Year's Resolutions... and needed a quick snack. I have to admit, although I enjoy a bit of cake and desserts every not and then, I am more of a salty snacker. Salted pistachios, potato chips, smoked tofu, ... that sort of thing. And since I love spices and chickpeas, I made a spicy chickpea snack. It's super easy!

Ingredients:
  • 2 cans of cooked chickpeas (400g per can/ 240g after draining)
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons of tandoori masala (spice blend)
  • 1 tablespoon of salt

Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
  • Drain the chickpeas well.
  • Allow them to dry properly.
  • Mix Tandoori masala, salt, syrup, and olive oil well.
  • Put the chickpeas and the spice blend in a container with a lid and shake well, so the spices distribute evenly.
  • Spread chickpeas on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350°F/180°C, turning over the chickpeas every 10 minutes with a spatula.
  • Done! Enjoy hot or cold!

Gesalzene Pistazien, Chips, Räuchertofu, ... so was halt. Super einfach!

Zutaten:

  • 2 Dosen gekochte Kichererbsen (400g pro Dose/ je 240g Abtropfgewicht)
  • 3 EL Olivenöl
  • 2 EL Agavendicksaft oder Ahornsirup
  • 3 EL Tandoori Masala (Gewürzmischung)
  • 1 EL Salz

Zubereitung:

  • Ofen auf 180°C/350°F vorheizen.
  • Kichererbsen abgießen.
  • Kichererbsen gut trocknen lassen.
  • Fertig! Schmecken kalt und warm!
